A Day of Building Strength at the 1st Annual NY Golf Tournament August 2, 2011
A Foundation Building Strength held its 1st Annual Golf Outing on August 2nd at Centennial Golf Club in Carmel, New York. Twenty-seven golfers competed in the event, which also included raffles and contests for the longest drive, closest to pin and putting. In the golf tournament, Jimmy Fitzgerald, Chase Cassidy, Tim Athens, and Yandi Shamapande took first place, and Wayne Baird, John Kelly, and Anjna Kapoor took second place. John Kelly had the longest drive, Andy Brucker hit closest to the pin, and Arnie Silver won the putting contest. The event was organized by Christian Daglieri, dedicated supporter of the Foundation, and Cliff Katz, father of 2-year old with NM (Jackson) and Advisor to the Foundation. Alice Katz (Jackson's mother) and Neely Moked (another strong supporter of the Foundation) helped run the event. Thanks to the generous support of the participating players, the event raised about $2500. Also, special thanks to the sponsors who helped make the event possible: Charter Oak Insurance & Financial Service, First American Title Insurance, Old Republic Title, American Land, Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse, The Rye Bar & Grill, and Golfsmith.
